Two Sports, One Garden: a Tennis Court With a Built-In Basketball Zone
This aerial shot shows how far one garden pad can go: full tennis markings, a grey basketball zone playing crosswise, and a hoop that does not steal space from either game.
About this build
The base build is a 14 × 11.6 m pad in OnCourt Super X tiles. The playing area is laid in Lime Green with a Forest Green surround, so the court reads as two zones before a single line is painted. Because the colours are in the tile itself, not paint, that contrast will still be there in ten years.
Tennis takes the long axis with full doubles markings. Basketball plays across the middle: a Wind Grey tile zone marks out the shooting area, and the hoop stands mid-court so rebounds stay inside the fence. Painted lines carry both games without confusing either.
This is the layout we suggest when a family cannot agree on one sport. Nobody has to win the argument.
