Mega Net
Net Protect® is the most consistent defender on the court, spanning 3.6 m (12') wide and standing 3 m (10') tall. The netting provides generous coverage behind the hoop to contain most missed shots, especially those from younger players.
✓ Who Net Protect® is For
Designed for courts where ball containment improves safety, flow, and everyday usability.
Homes courts with limited space – Keeps missed shots contained when courts sit close to walls, fences, gardens, or neighbouring properties.
Families and shared play areas – Reduces stray balls entering walkways, driveways, or adjacent spaces—making casual play safer and less disruptive.
Training-focused home courts – Allows players to shoot repeatedly without constant ball retrieval, keeping sessions flowing and focused.
✗ Who Net Protect® is Not For
If your court already provides natural containment or clearance, this system may be unnecessary.
Enclosed courts – If your space already has walls or perimeter netting, you may not see meaningful benefit.
Open courts with ample surround – Large gardens or open courts often don't require additional containment.
Anyone needing an impact-rated barrier – Net Protect® contains missed shots; it is not a physical safety fence.
What's In The Box

- ✓Galvanized steel and powder coated net assembly
- ✓Weather resistant mounting parts & hardware
Compatibility & Integration
Net Protect® is engineered specifically for MegaSlam basketball hoops, integrating directly with the hoop’s rear structure to create a stable, vertical ball containment system.
Because it mounts to the pole and support geometry of MegaSlam hoops, Net Protect® relies on the hoop’s rigidity, clearances, and load paths to remain secure during repeated impact. This tight integration is what allows the system to contain missed shots effectively without interfering with play.
Net Protect® is compatible with MegaSlam systems and is designed to align precisely with MegaSlam backboard sizes, arm extensions, and pole spacing.
Important notes
- ✓Net Protect® is not a standalone product
- ✓It is not compatible with third-party hoops or wall-mounted goals
- ✓Installation requires an existing MegaSlam hoop system
This approach ensures clean installation, predictable performance, and long-term durability, without compromise or retrofit limitations.

Net Protect® FAQ
These FAQs are designed to clarify how the system is intended to be used, the environments it suits best, and its limitations. Reviewing them upfront helps ensure it's the right addition to your court.
What is Net Protect?
It’s a tall, durable ball containment system that installs behind your MegaSlam hoop. It’s designed to keep balls in play and prevent them from flying into bushes, neighbours’ gardens, or the street.
Is it a DIY installation?
Yes. The system is designed for easy DIY installation. It comes with all necessary hardware and detailed instructions. Most customers install it in under an hour with a standard toolkit.
Does it affect gameplay or visibility?
Not at all. The net is made from lightweight, weather-resistant mesh that's unobtrusive and doesn't interfere with shooting, rebounding, or sightlines.
Is it weatherproof?
The entire system is built for permanent outdoor use, with a powder-coated steel frame and UV-resistant netting that holds up against wind, rain, and sun exposure.
Can it be removed when not in use?
Absolutely. Net Protect® is fully removable, making it easy to take down or store away if needed, though most users leave it up year-round for convenience.
Why should I add it to my court?
If your hoop is near landscaping, a fence, or the edge of your property, Net Protect® saves time, prevents ball damage or loss, and adds a level of safety for players and bystanders. It's an ideal upgrade for homes with younger players or tighter spaces. These answers cover the most common questions about the Net Protect®. Net Protect – Keep the Game on the Court
Net Protect is a ball containment system designed specifically for MegaSlam hoops. It wraps around the back and sides of the basket so that missed shots and deflections stay on the court instead of ending up in the garden, on the road, or in a neighbour’s property. The problem it solves On open garden courts, almost every missed shot from distance can end up somewhere inconvenient: Rolling into flower beds or planting Bouncing into a driveway or road Crossing into neighbouring properties Each stray ball stops play and forces you to chase it down, especially when your court borders hard or awkward boundaries like walls, fences, or landscaping. Net Protect is designed to eliminate these interruptions by catching those errant balls and keeping the game flowing. What it covers Net Protect spans from directly behind the backboard and drops down to court level on both sides: Catches overshoots that go long over the hoop Stops balls that rim out to the back Traps deflections off the backboard The net does not enclose the front of the court. Instead, it focuses on the high‑impact zones where most missed shots actually land, rather than acting as a full perimeter cage. Installation Net Protect is engineered to integrate cleanly with MegaSlam systems: Attaches to the MegaSlam backboard and main pole Uses existing mounting points No additional drilling required Compatible with MegaSlam 60 and MegaSlam 72 hoops When you need it Net Protect is most useful when your court opens out into other areas: Garden or lawn Driveway Road or shared access Neighbouring properties If your court is fully contained by hard boundaries—such as walls, fencing, or VersaCourt tiles with clearly defined edges—missed shots are more likely to stay on the playing surface anyway, and Net Protect may be less critical. But for open‑sided courts, it’s the practical way to keep the ball where it belongs: on the court. Compatible hoops MegaSlam 60 MegaSlam 72
