A Family Court on the Terrace, in Green, Grey and Black
Two kids, one hoop and a hillside view: a green-and-grey terrace court with black markings that swaps the trampoline for something the whole family actually uses.
O ovoj izgradnji
The terrace pad runs about 7.0 × 9.8 m, retained on the garden side with a low wall and planted screening. One tile of Wind Grey runs right round the outside, the playing surface inside it is Forest Green, and the key picks the grey back up.
The markings are black rather than white — a small decision that changes the whole character of the court. On grey tile, black lines read as architecture instead of sport, which mattered on a terrace you can see from the kitchen.
An in-ground MegaSlam anchors the far end. The owners tell us the court has replaced screens as the after-school default, which is the best performance metric we know of.
