Pro build, compact footprint

The MegaSlam 60 gives you the same professional build in a smaller footprint: a 60 by 36-inch tempered glass backboard, and the same rim and height mechanism as the 72, sized for driveways, gardens and tighter courts where a full 72 will not fit.

Tempered glass, not plastic

The 60 by 36-inch backboard is the same tempered glass used on full-size systems. The ball rebounds predictably right across the face and the glass stays clear over the years. It does not flex or shudder under load the way acrylic does, so your bank shots behave the way they should.

A 180-degree breakaway rim

A 180-degree Pro Rim comes as standard, with Directional Flex that absorbs dunks from any angle and takes the strain off the board and arms. A recessed Hideaway Net keeps fingers clear in a scramble, and the rim settles back level quickly so your next shot reads true.

Twelve gussets on a bolted base plate

A 6-inch square main pole braced with twelve welded gussets forms the backbone, bolting down onto four J-bolts cast into a concrete footing for a base that will not sway. Galvanised steel and stainless hardware keep it solid outdoors for the long haul, and MegaSlam backs it with a limited lifetime warranty that even covers play-related backboard breakage.

Good in the garden, all year

Every 60 is finished to stay outside through the seasons. Galvanised, powder-coated steel and UV-stable parts stand up to damp, heat and cold, so it works as well on an exposed driveway as it does in a sheltered garden.

Installation

The 60 bolts down onto a concrete foundation, so the base preparation matters — the anchor kit’s J-bolts are cast into the footing and the base plate bolts to them once it has cured. Read our installation guide before you start. Many customers fit it themselves with two or three helpers for the backboard lift, or hire a local groundworks contractor for the footing and anchor kit and complete the upper assembly on their own.

Shipping and delivery

MegaSlam systems are heavy freight, so delivery takes a little planning. Your 60 arrives palletised on a kerbside freight service, packed to protect the finish in transit.

Clear kerbside access for the lorry, and have two or three adults ready to move the pallet. Do not book your concrete work for the same day. The carrier calls ahead to arrange a window. Delivery is kerbside only and does not include installation, and someone needs to be there to receive and check the shipment.

MegaSlam 60 questions

How much space do I need?

Around 4.5 by 7.5 metres is a comfortable minimum. The 60-inch backboard plays well in compact spots, which is what makes it a good fit for driveways and smaller gardens.

Can I dunk on it?

Yes. The 180-degree breakaway rim absorbs dunks from any direction, and the system is dunk-rated and covered by the lifetime warranty.

Is it a good choice for younger kids?

Yes. The rim drops to 1.68 m for beginners and raises to the regulation 3.05 m as they improve, so one hoop covers the whole family. A safety pin stops it dropping below 2.28 m when engaged.

How does it hold up outdoors?

It is made for it: galvanised steel, powder-coated hardware and a weather-resistant net, built for years outside without meaningful wear.
